We are a medical clinic located in San Diego. We have an immediate need for an experienced Bilingual Medical Scribe to join our team.
Our new team member is required to have 1-2 + years of experience in a medical setting with experience as a Medical Assistant. Qualified candidates should have typing speed of 60-100 WPM and a minimum of 2 years experience with any Electronic Medical Record. (EMR)
We are a busy Internal Medicine practice and our new team member must be able to thrive under those circumstances!
Medical Assistant Scribe will assist our physicians and physician extenders while in clinic with patients, to expedite patient flow through the clinic and assist with necessary chart documentation. A certification would be helpful, however we will educate and train motivated and enthusiastic individuals.
As a Medical Assistant Scribe, you will perform the duties of a medical assistant and provide accurate documentation of the history presenting illness, the examination and treatment plan, while maintaining patient flow.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
· Serve as liaison between the physician, patient, and staff
· Provide excellent customer service to our patients
. Adhere to established protocols and work processes.
· Enter medical information into the chart, as dictated or written by the medical provider in a timely manner.
· Enter accurate and detailed documentation of the clinical encounter
· Document necessary patient follow-up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician.
· List all proper diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician

Responsibilities
Providing overall assistance to physicians and physician associates.
Rooming patients, including obtaining vitals, and taking a medical history
Documentation in the EMR/Scribing Scribing MD//Physician extender.
Assisting with clinic procedures, like Medical Assistant Scribe - Bilingual, TB Skin testing, excisions, biopsies,
Performing on site lab procedures, such as quick strep, flu swabs COVID testing and Urine toxicology screens .
Performing vision tests, EKGs, spirometry and other procedures for which we will provide training.
Scheduling follow-up appointments and calling patients with lab and diagnostic testing results.
Every Medical Assistant must maintain cleanliness of their work area . We are looking for enthusiastic,warm and personable applicants with first-rate customer service and excellent teamwork skills
Requirements:
Clinical Medical Assistant Experience
Clinical Medical Scribe Experience -a plus (Site Training will be provided)
Electronic Medical Records experience.(2 years hands on)
Provide detail oriented and empathetic care
This is a full time, on-site position. This position requires either Covid-19 verification of vaccination and boosters or twice weekly negative Covid-19 PCR test results. Per CDC mandates as a healthcare setting, we require staff and patients to be fully masked while onsite.
